After installing.  Locate your data plug.  It will typically be a white 6 pin sumitomo connector.  It usually is near your engine control unit.   A photo below shows the two different connectors.  Some of the white connectors may have an environmental cover on them.  Once located install the pigtail with the reader on the connector.  

Once done open your WiFi on your phone.  (Note you do not need internet for this operation).  WiFi is just a form of communication.   Start the engine on the bike and look for WIFI OBD II.  Click on it and wait for the check mark.  

Open the car scanner app.   Initially it may ask you some questions.  You can pick KTM as your vehicle but this is more for house keeping not for anything technical.  Next, go to the 1st column on the left second icon down labeled (diagnostic trouble codes).  Enter and press clear.  Hit yes and clear all.  Once clearing is complete go back to the main page again.   

In some cases you may have to clear your codes twice.  

If the codes come back a third time then you either have a bad sensor or forgot to reconnect something after working on the bike (this happens quite often).  If so just retrace your steps and check all connections.  You can read the codes and it will pinpoint which sensor it is.  If you are unsure of the nomenclature send me an email or call.  I can interpret. I will add more info as I have time.  I will make a new video but over time some things have changed. 

Note TPI USERS 

INITIAL AIR SCREW SETTINGS IF YOU DO THE IDLE SCREW MOD IS 1/2 out from all the way in and set your idle speed to factory spec for your bike.  Typically around 1500.  Install the pv spring provided and turn brass square head screw to flush and then turn in one full turn.  This is a starting point.  You’re welcome to make changes after but this is where I recommend.  If you get confused you can always go back to the baseline.  If you do not have a tool for the powervalve you can use a number 2 Philips. If fits perfectly.
